Our classic KNIPEX Cobra® and pliers wrench are undoubtedly versatile tools that can be used in almost all situations. But sometimes the task requires a gentler approach, especially when it comes to highly sensitive materials such as designer fittings or chrome-plated surfaces. This is where the soft jaws come into play, a practical addition.

The protective jaws can be easily placed on the gripping jaws and offer reliable locking. It’s obvious: with its self-clamping effect, the KNIPEX Cobra® bites into the material, making scratches inevitable. But if you want to grip precious round parts gently, you can do it with the soft jaws – gentle, but still firm enough for practically all applications. However, the self-clamping effect is then lost.

Attaching the protective jaws is also very simple here: They are placed on the jaws by hand and fixed in place thanks to the internal locking hook. They cover the entire toothed gripping surface.

As with the protective jaws for the pliers wrench, the set for the KNIPEX Cobra® also consists of three pairs. These are robust enough to last a long time, even with intensive use. However, should they wear out at some point, replacing them is just as easy as with the other protective jaw models.
