Tool care is an essential component for long-term precise work. This also includes the occasional replacement of certain tool parts. In case of the KNIPEX 12 40 200 self-adjusting insulation stripper, it would be the stripping blades. Watch in the below video, how quickly and easily you can exchange the blades of the pliers.
1. Push the length stop all the way to the back
2. Clamp the spacer between the jaws and push it forward
3. Press the knife block downwards, unscrew the upper blade and take it out
4. Press the knife block upwards, unscrew the lower blade and take it out
5. Insert and screw in the new top and bottom blades
6. Push the spacer backwards and take it out
7. Pliers are ready for use
